Brief history of Octopuses
Octopuses are very ancient animals that have lived in the sea for millions of years. They are mollusks, like snails, but they don’t have a shell. They have eight long arms called tentacles, which they use to move, explore, and catch food. Over time, octopuses have learned to live in many parts of the ocean, from shallow waters to very deep and dark places.
Octopuses are very intelligent and can change color to hide or to scare other animals. They can also release ink to escape when they feel threatened. Each tentacle has suction cups that help them hold on and “feel” what they touch. Additionally, octopuses can solve problems and learn new things! They are very curious and unique animals in the sea.
